Our weekly feature will provide you with TopSport’s top 5 racing market movers from around Australia this Saturday.

Caulfield R1: Desiah
  • Trainer: Ciaron Maher & Dave Eustace
  • Jockey: John Allen
  • Barrier: 1
  • Price: $5.50 into $4

In a race where there doesn’t appear to be many winning chances, punters have backed this filly in. She won her maiden on a heavy track at Geelong two starts ago and then last start settled well back and didn’t get a lot of galloping room when ninth in the Twilight Glow Stakes at Sandown. Winkers go on for the first time.

Caulfield R8: Fortunate Kiss
  • Trainer: Daniel Bowman
  • Jockey: Ben Melham
  • Barrier: 10
  • Price: $21 – $14

The Warrnambool mare has had little luck at her three recent runs as she’s been blocked for a run each time. She’s drawn out which suits her style of racing. If the track was to firm up she’s likely to start even shorter.

Randwick Race 4: Cadre Du Noir
  • Trainers: Ciaron Maher and David Eustace
  • Jockey: Brenton Avdulla
  • Barrier: 10
  • Price: $2.70 – $2.25

Carried 58 kilos when he valiantly attempted to make it a hat-trick of wins last start when he finished second to Grove Valley. He drops 2.5 kilos and he’s flying over 2400 metres, Ciaron Maher said he was the stable’s best Sydney chance.

Randwick Race 6:  Kementari
  • Trainer: James Cummings
  • Jockey: Nash Rawiller
  • Barrier: 11
  • Price: $4.80 – $3.70

Form reads well for this veteran sprinter as at his last start he finished 4th in the Group 2 Premiere Stakes behind three great chances in The Everest – Lost And Running, Mazu and Masked Crusader. Obviously, he’s in an easier event and punters are gravitating to him.

Randwick Race 10:  Polly Grey
  • Trainer: Chris Waller
  • Jockey: Hugh Bowman
  • Barrier: 6
  • Price: $3.80-$3.10

Gun wet track mare who although she hasn’t won when first-up she generally runs well. Last campaign she finished a first-up second in a Group 3 over 1600 metres at Randwick which is the same scenario she faces in this race.
