Eels outlast Sharks, snap 5-game losing streak

The Eels leapt out to an early 12-point lead courtesy of a Maika Sivo double before a coast-to-coast Will Kennedy try turned the tide for the visitors shy of the break.

Tries to Junior Paulo and Bailey Simonsson earnt the hosts some breathing room however before the Sharks went back-to-back through Daniel Atkinson and Sione Katoa’s second only for Dylan Brown to step his way over late to seal it.

Josh Addo-Carr snagged an early double to give his side a halftime lead before succumbing to a hamstring issue early in the second stanza.

His absence did little to slow the Dogs down however with Jacob Preston snagging a double of his own alongside tries to Josh Curran and Bronson Xerri as they ran away with a strong win.

The Raiders overcame an early Jeremy Marshall-King try to take an 18-12 lead into the break courtesy of tries to Xavier Savage, Ata Mariota, and Elliott Whitehead.
