We’re racing at Goulburn on Monday. Track is currently H8, with the rail +3m 900m-400m; True Remainder. The going isn’t ideal but we’ve found a couple runners we like who enjoy the wet.

Goulburn Race 3 – Surpina

This Mare came up to NSW when her Trainer Changed from A & S Freedman to J M Austin. She has been knocking on the door this prep. Last start looked home for all money just to get nabbed late by a fast finishing Kickatorp. That effort was here over the 1000m on heavy. Third up finished 2nd to Silent Impact here on soft over the 1000. Second up finished last after pulling up ($4 SP) – sent to trial. First up placed at $1.7 0.3L Agent Moon.

Wide gate isn’t a major issue as she has the tactical speed to cover the wide gate, and the turn is less 70 degrees. Retains Chad Lever. Nice price for a major player.

Goulburn Race 5 – Visceral

Fresh from Let Up. Record is nothing flash 5:0-1-0. Has run some decent races fresh putting up competitive figures. Her best races have come when she has found the front easily.

Without much speed in this race she should roll forward and get control of this race. Queries on a lot of runners wet track ability in this race. She is proven in wet and maps well. If she gets control of this race she could prove hard to run down. No jockey assigned yet however hence the conservative stake

Goulburn Race 8 – Dom Tycoon

Placed last 2 starts on Heavy over the 1400m hitting the line well on both occasions.Most likely scratched from race 1 (1400m) for this.

Brodie Loy and the soft draw are both positives. Should enjoy the extra distance.

Lady Kirkham

Consistent type who has found some new form getting back onto the heavy ground recently. Record 3:0-1-2. Last start 2nd in BM66 company over 1700. 2 Prior 3rd over 1600 in BM58 company.

Back to 58 company here. Been in the money recently and can’t find a reason she wont go close again. Happy for this to be a little saver.
