It was a wild week in the National Football League. Half the teams that entered the week as an underdog came through with a win. Here were the eight teams that were not expected to win that came away with victories.
Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons entered Thursday night as a 4.5 point underdog against the Green Bay Packers but came away with a 35-14 win. It was a masterful performance by Bijan Robinson, as he had 213 total yards.
Washington Commanders
The Commanders entered their game against the Seattle Seahawks as a seven point underdog. Seattle had a 12 game winning streak from last season. But it was Washington that won 33-31 thanks to a solid quarterbacking performance by Marcus Mariota.
Indianapolis Colts
The Colts were a 2.5 point underdog against the Houston Texans, but won 19-17. Indianapolis had not won since November 9 of last year.
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 30-27 as a 3.5 point underdog. Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers had 292 yards passing and running back Jaylen Warren had 127 yards rushing.
Cleveland Browns
The Browns defeated the Carolina Panthers 21-18 as a three point underdog. The Browns won the game on a 14-yard touchdown pass from DeShaun Watson to Harold Fannin Jr. with one minute and 48 seconds left in the game.
Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders defeated the New Orleans Saints 35-27 as a three point underdog. Raiders tight end Brock Bowers had 116 yards receiving.
Denver Broncos
The Broncos defeated the Los Angeles Rams 30-26 as a 2.5 point underdog. Denver had a key pick six from safety Talanoa Hufanga in the fourth quarter.
Chicago Bears
The Bears defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 27-7 on Monday night. It was a terrible game by the Eagles as they took dumb penalties and lost the turnover battle.
