Wyndham Clark of Denver, Colorado won the 2026 BMW Championship at the Bellerive Golf Course on Sunday. Clark posted a wining score of -17 for his third PGA Tour title of the 2026 golf season. The BMW Championship was the second FedEx Cup event of 2026.
Clark defeated fellow American Patrick Cantlay of Long Beach, California by three strokes. Cantlay had a second place score of -14. Cantlay has had FedEx Cup success in the past as he won the FedEx Cup in 2021.
Over the last four days in the Show Me State, Clark had a first round score and second round score of six-under-par 64, a third round score of five-under-par 65, and a fourth round score of even. Clark posted an eagle on the eighth hole in round three on Saturday. He had a 341 yard tee shot, 259 yard approach shot and an eagle putt of 11 feet and seven inches. In the fourth round on Sunday, Clark had three bogeys in the first 10 holes to drop from -17 to -14, but returned to -17 after birdies on the 16th, 17th and 18th holes.
Clark previously won the CJ Cup Byron Nelson and US Open in 2026. He is one of three golfers to win thrice on the PGA Tour in 2026. The other two are Matt Fitzpatrick of Sheffield, England and Chris Gotterup of Easton, Maryland. Gotterup won the Sony Open, Waste Management Phoenix Open and the John Deere Classic. Fitzpatrick won the Valspar Championship, RBC Heritage and the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. However, the Zurich Classic of New Orleans is a team event, and one may question if that should be included as an official PGA Tour victory.
In Clark’s career, he has won six PGA Tour events. He also won the 2023 Wells Fargo Championship, the 2023 United States Open and 2024 Pebble Beach.
