The replays and sectional times have been reviewed from the first meeting back at Randwick in a month on Saturday. Our analyst has Black Booked as pair of place getters that look ready to hit the winners stall.
Surf’s Up
The Waller filly has been costly for followers in her 9: 1-4-2 career but her 0.9L 3rd at Randwick on Saturday was full of merit. She settled one pair forward on the rear on a 3-wide line in a large field of 15 and found herself widest on the point of the turn. She made great ground from the 300m to the line but couldn’t reel in the winner who benefited from a much softer run up the inside. She will improve getting back to firmer ground.

King of the Sea
Those that dived into the short odds may of been disappointed with his photo finish 2nd but I think it will pay to be with the 4yo moving forward. He settled midfield and found himself all over heels from the 400m to 250m. He hit the line strongly once he got clear running to only just go down to Tazima getting a much better run at it up the straight. He is another that will improve getting back to a firmer track.
