Really liked the trial’s by this debutant for the powerful Grant and Alana Williams stable. Looks a really nice, speedy type and finds one of the weakest maiden fields you will find here. Despite this, many of these have a fair bit of early toe, so even though he’s drawn a little awkward, McGruddy should be able to find a spot just in behind the leading brigade and tuck him away. In a field of not a great deal, if he can find cover blending into it midfield, he’s going to be very hard to hold out.

Missed the massive misread of an opening price of mid-low 20s for this galloper but I’ve still got her marked shorter than the $10 or thereabouts she currently sits at. She’s got some real quality form around her that the rest of these just don’t have, such as 2nds to Naughty By Nature and Our Idyll in much higher grade/stronger races than this. Should be able to land somewhere near the breeze here for Dhurun and from there she has to be right in this race, really nice price to find out how she has come back. First up, no trial for a relatively unknown yard the obvious query.
